Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most prevalent cannabinoids in the cannabis plant and is the second most abundant cannabinoid in marijuana after THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). CBD can also be found in hemp, marijuana’s sister plant. In hemp, THC is only present in trace amounts, while CBD dominates the plant’s makeup. Unlike THC, CBD is completely non psychoactive and will not make you high. CBD is all relaxation without intoxication. Unlike marijuana, which remains illegal federally and in many states, hemp-derived CBD is legal and available in all 50 states without a prescription or medical marijuana card. CBD began making headlines all over the world in 2013 when CNN aired a special documentary on the miraculous effects of CBD on a little girl named Charlotte Figi who had an extremely severe case of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome. Since then, the medical potential of CBD has made it one of the most sought after alternative remedies for a number of health related conditions. Scientific and clinical research—much of it sponsored by the US government—underscores CBD’s potential as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, arthritis, diabetes, MS, chronic pain, schizophrenia, PTSD, depression, antibiotic-resistant infections, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. CBD has demonstrable neuroprotective and neurogenic effects, and its anti-cancer properties are currently being investigated at several academic research centers in the United States and elsewhere. NOTE: Cannabinoids are the primary chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant and have been patented by the US Department of Health and Human Services as “antioxidants and neuroprotectants.”
No. Dutch Wonder products are classified as industrial hemp food products and are therefore available legally to everyone. Under Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill (Agricultural Act of 2014), Congress permits the growth and cultivation of industrial hemp under state sponsored departments of agriculture.
Yes. Our bodies naturally produce cannabinoids. Natural cannabinoids are found in the mother’s breast milk of all mammals. CBD has no lethal dose and/or harmful side effects. However, due to the neurological qualities of CBD, we encourage parents to consult their pediatrician before administering high doses of CBD to children.
Yes. Dutch Wonder legally ships its proprietary Hemp-Derived CBD products to all 50 States. The United States Farm Bill of 2014 classified industrial hemp as containing less than 0.3% THC. Because our products contain either 0.0% THC or less than 0.3% THC (Oral-Syringes), we are allowed by U.S. Federal law to ship to all states.
Our products contain 0.0% THC meaning that any THC found in our products is at a trace level. For instance a product may have .07% THC by weight (.3% is the legal limit). When considering that a user may take 10 – 20 drops per day of one of our products, and even that will be subject to some loss due to the absorption process by the body, it is highly unlikely that any of our products would trigger positive on a standard drug test. That being said, while improbable it is not totally impossible. While extremely unlikely, there are some very sophisticated tests that could possibly pick up on that small of a trace amount in your system. However that type of test, while increasing the possibility of finding minuscule trace amounts of THC are not the standard type test used for employment or patient testing. We have tested this in house and to-date have never seen a positive result. As well, we have never had a single report of any of our products producing a positive for THC. Unfortunately, because of those trace amounts of THC and because it is technically possible, though highly unlikely, a certain level of test could pick up these trace amounts, prohibiting us from being able to give a 100% guarantee.
